$500 XRP Within 7 Months? Wells Fargo Treasurer Shares Hot Take

A finance and crypto influencer recently made a bizarre projection regarding the price of XRP. The influencer, who also works in treasury management for banking giant Wells Fargo, believes that XRP will witness a 14,000% rally all the way up to $100 within the next seven months.

Wells Fargo’s Shannon Thorpe recently took to Twitter to share her take on XRP’s widely debated future price action. According to the influencer, most projections come from two groups within the XRP community, one that relied on technical Analysis for short-term predictions, and one that based their long-term projections on XRP’s utility as a mode of international settlements.

Thorpe told her followers that the potential for XRP’s growth should not be limited to its categorization as a non-security token. Instead, one should rely on its potential in the traditional finance payments space thanks to Ripple’s partnerships with central banks and financial institutions around the world.

The influencer presented a scenario, where XRP would replace Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT) and enable blockchain-powered cross-border settlements. For this to be possible, XRP would have to take on the role of facilitating the $7 trillion worth of transfers that SWIFT enables every day.

Shannon Thorpe highlighted the current market sentiment that valued XRP between $1 and $5 and stated that this valuation would be insufficient for XRP’s long-term purpose in traditional finance, due to a limited XRP supply and the need for liquidity support at thousands of banks globally.

As for Thorpe’s projection, she believes that the XRP can be worth anywhere between $100-$500 in the next four to seven months. This projection represented a maximum rally of a whopping 71,000%. The influencer believes that her projection is conservative and cited the price prediction of private equity firm Valhil Capital, which valued XRP between $3,500 and $21,900.
